Beach Luxury Hotel hosts lunch in honour of KEC
Azeem Qureshi General Manger of Beach Luxury Hotel Karachi who has extensive experience of hotel industry and have good relations with Media and Corporate sector, hosted a lunch in honour of Karachi Editors Club during the reported week. He had invited Romildo Sanches, a Brazilian Football coach who was in Karachi to establish various football teams to participate in the World Cup as a Chief Guest at the lunch for media interaction purpose to promote this national cause.
Azeem Qureshi while introducing the famous celebrity Romildo Sanches said the Beach Luxury Hotel is proud to cater his existence as a staying guest and appreciated his mission to promote football in Pakistan by exploring talents especially from Lyari, Karachi.
Romildo in his address on this occasion said it's his 2nd visit to Karachi. He has visited Lyari many times and witnessed that there is a lot of talent especially for football game. He said he wish to establish 12 football teams and will prefer youth aged 18-20 year. He expressed the hope that within eight years time the trained football players will be playing on World Cup standards.
On this occasion Romildo also inaugurated mango stall set up at the lobby of the Beach Luxury Hotel.
Mubasher Mir, President of the Karachi Editors Club (KEC) welcomed the football celebrity Romildo Sanches at the lunch in honour of KEC and thanked Azeem Qureshi for his continuous support.
Women Footballers visiting Norway and China
DIA Pakistan, the first ever women football club has fully prepared themselves to tour Norway and China.
At a local Hotel in Karachi during the week, the demonstration and distribution ceremony of the new football kits among the players. On this occasion, Turkish Co-Operation Agency (Tika) the Country Co-ordinator Mehrat Emeri Aktuna was the chief guest.
In his address, the chief guest said that the DIA Women Football Club has tremendous talented players and he is very much Impressed with their performance and decided to cooperate with this team to promote the game of football at international level. There is no doubt that Pakistan has a lot of potential and talented players that needs proper attention and support.
Pakistan and Turkey are brotherly countries and we both are eager to cooperate in various fields of interest, he added.
The founder member and General Secretary of the DIA Football Club, Sadia Shaikh said that the team has already completed successful tours of Sri Lanka and Malaysia and once again the team will perform better in Norway and China.
The team comprising 23members will leave for Norway soon and will be visiting China in the middle of the next month.
WCC & TMSP host dinner in honour of PMWC
Murtaza Mughal, chief of World Columnists Club (WCC) and Tanzeem-e-Mughlia Sindh Pakistan (TMSP) hosted a dinner in honour of Pakistan Media Women Council (PMWC) during the week in the pleasant weather at Do Darya DHA Karachi at the famous restaurant. Mushtaq Mehr Additional Inspector General Police was the chief guest while M Ayaz Memon Motiwala was the guest of honour and was the sponsor of this dinner.
Mushtaq Mehr, in his address on the occasion appreciated the performance of women journalists and said that now women in Pakistan are contributing properly in every field of life. He lauded the role of women in the economic development of Pakistan.
Humaira Motala, President PMWC introduced members of PMWC one by one with their respective media organisation. She said that the women journalists are performing better in their fields. She appreciated spouses and parents who are cooperating with women and providing all necessary assistance to them.
Murtaza Mughal, Ayaz Memon and Mubasher Mir also appreciated the role of women journalists and assured their all possible support to PMWC.
