Wang Yu presents 'Pak-China Friendship, Real Transformation to People's Life'




Wang Yu, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China at Karachi arranged a Première of documentary titled "Pak-China Friendship, Real Transformation to People's Life" followed by a cultural show presented by Chinese Teachers of Confucius Institute of Karachi University during the reported week at a local hotel.
Main objective of the documentary show was to enhance social and economic cooperation between the two countries. The documentary covered heights of Sino-Pak friendship from May 1951 when diplomatic relations started to till date covering CPEC development projects for Pakistan, especially Sindhi people. This documentary has been produced by Chinese Consulate Karachi.
Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh was the chief guest on this occasion while elite of the city and Karachi based diplomats, senior journalists and government officials were also present at this jampacked ceremony.
In addition to Consul General, newly arrived Vice Consul General Chen Xiaodong and other Counselors of Chinese Consulate Karachi like Zhijie Xu, Ran Ran, Ms Miranda Lee and some of others famous consolers were very actively busy in good arrangements and receiving guests personally. Chen Xiaodong has recently joined Chinese Consulate Karachi in replacement of Dr Mu Yongpeng who has been transferred European Union last month.
On this prestigious occasion Wang Yu told about the significance of the documentary. He said that CPEC will be contributing towards lifting people's standard of living. He said International Forum on One Belt One Road Initiatives is also being held at Beijing to enhance International Cooperation for developments. In this Forum 28 counties are participating, he added.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ai Shah recapped the history of Pak-China friendship. The Chief Minister told that he will be discussing on the Karachi Circular Railway Project with Chinese decision-makers in Beijing while attending One Belt One Road Initiatives Conference. Murad Ali Shah also highlighted CPEC projects for the development of Sindh.


Mukhtar Aqil hosts dinner in honour  of  BD journalists




Mukhtar Aqil on behalf of Daily Farz, Karachi Editors Club (KEC) and National Media Council (NMC) hosted a dinner in honour of 10-members journalists' delegation visiting from Bangladesh during the reported week at a local club.
Bilateral economic and social issues were discussed during the dinner. It was also disclosed during the discussion at dinner that obtaining BD visa is very difficult for Pakistanis even for Bengali Pakistanis having blood relations in BD. In this delegation Shahnaz Begum of Daily Inqilab, Sheikh Mamunur Rehaman of Daily Jugantor, Kamruzzaman Bablu of Daily The New Nation, Dhaka were prominent in the delegation, they thanked the hosts and DG PID Karachi for organizing the dinner with Karachi Editors Club.
Sikandar Ali Shah DG PID Karachi informed on this occasion that BD journalists' delegation is visiting Pakistan on the initiative of Pakistani High Commission at Dacca and being hosted by Ministry of Information in Pakistan. The delegation was also scheduled to visit Islamabad, Lahore and Murree during the current week.
The delegation also visited Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Mazar-e-Quaid, Karachi Press Club and Governor House before leaving Karachi.


Lucky One Mall celebrates International Nurses Day





International Nurses Day was celebrated at the atrium of the LuckyOne Mall during the week. All members and staff of Tabba Kidney and Heart Institute were present at the event.
Before the event started, the guests were given a tour of the mall. Four nurses were present at the health screening counter to facilitate the customers and do their check-ups. The host of the event welcomed everyone and gave a brief introduction on the importance of International Nurses Day.
The chief guest Bilal Jamil, Medical Director, Tabba Kidney Institute praised the efforts of nurses. Sohail Tabba, Chairman LuckyOne, complimented the nurses stating "Nurses are actually mothers, because doctors visit at specific hours, whereas it is the nurses who actually take care of the patients and assist in their healing process".
