ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that he will name the person who offered him Rs 10 billion on behalf of Sharif family if Sharifs takes him to court.
Addressing an anti-Nawaz rally in Islamabad's Parade Ground, Imran Khan dared the Sharif family to take him to court over the matter and he will disclose the name after getting protection for the man.
"Take me to the court, I will take protection for that man and then disclose his name," said Imran Khan.
The PTI chief maintained that he hasn't named the person who came to him with the offer for he fears that Sharif brothers will conspire against him if he does so.
Addressing a gathering in Peshawar's Shaukat Khanum Hospital on Tuesday, Imran Khan claimed that he was offered Rs10 billion to stay silent over the Panamagate issue.
The PTI chief's statement stirred up a hornet's nest as a number of PML-N leaders and ministers dared him to name the individual who offered him the money.
Imran Khan had earlier, claimed that it was one of it was one of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif's friends who offered him Rs 10 billion to stay silent over Panama leaks issue.
"He is quite close to his brother (Shahbaz Sharif) and did not only offer Rs 10 billion, 10 billion was just the starting point, the middle man too was promised money," Imran Khan said about the man who allegedly approached him over Sharif family's instruction.
The PTI chief, however, did not name the person who approached him with the offer. 
While addressing to Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, he asked them to say under oath that you had never given bribe to anyone. 
Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered Friday at Parade Ground in Islamabad where Imran Khan was wcheduled to make a formal demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the wake of Panama Leaks verdict.
It is the party's first rally since the Supreme Court of Pakistan announced the verdict of the Panama Papers case against the members of the Sharif family.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid and other PTI leaders have reached the venue.
"We have worked day in and day lit to establish a system which could deliver for the common people," KPK Chief Minister Parvez Khattak said.  "I believe in good governance. No system can ever work without autonomous and strong institutions."
"We were given a task by Imran Khan to establish a system which worked for the people. We worked for it. We passed four laws in the province which proved to be a foundation for a workable system."
"We made all the information public with and granted the Right to Information to the people.  We passed the whistle-blower and conflict of interest laws to establish a corruption free system."
Addressing the gathering, AML head Sheikh Rashid said that he was a companion of Imran Khan who was the only ray of hope for the nation.
"I want to directly address Pakistan army and tell them that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a security risk," he said, adding that 'Go Nawaz Go' was the voice of the nation.
"Nawaz Sharif, you are trying to stop the release of Dawn Leaks report," he said.  "I salute to all five Supreme Court judges who declared that Qatari's letter was fake."
Earlier, PTI MNA Asad Umar addressed the crow and commented on deteriorating economic situation & corruption in Pakistan.
According to sources, a documentary about Prime Minister Sharif and PPP President Asif Ali Zardari will be shown to the participants on a giant screen installed at stage.
Large numbers of PTI supporters, including women workers, have reached Parade Ground to hear Imran Khan's speech.
DJ Wali Son will provide entertainment during the public meeting. He will play party anthems and songs. Three hundred speakers have also been set up at the rally venue. - NNI
