50 bikes built by 500 Educators Credit Union employees - FINANCIAL-24
On Monday, Oct. 9, nearly 500 Educators Credit Union employees built 50 bikes to send to the Boys & Girls Club of Milwaukee.
Building the bikes was a surprise team-building activity during “Now to Wow,” Educators Credit Union’s annual day of training. After the employees ate lunch, bikes were brought out to tables throughout the conference room at the Crown Plaza Milwaukee Airport and everyone got to work.
“One of Educators main focuses is on helping the people who work and live in our communities,” said Educators CEO Linda Hoover. “Working as a team to build bikes that will go to these students is an incredibly rewarding experience for all of us at the credit union.”
Educators Credit Union purchased the bikes and individual inspections from Wheel & Sprocket. The bikes were then sent to the Boys & Girls Club to be distributed during the holidays.
Educators Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution serving more than 150,000 members with branches in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties. Educators membership is open to anyone who lives or works in southeastern Wisconsin.
