Desert Schools FCU President Jeff Meshey assumes role of CEO - FINANCIAL-24
Desert Schools Federal Credit Union has officially announced the appointment of its president, Jeff Meshey, into the role of CEO. Meshey will continue on in the role of president, as well.
Meshey assumes the role with more than 22 years of experience with the company, pursuant to the succession plan that has been in place since his appointment to the role of President in 2014. Susan Frank, the organization’s former CEO, officially retired at the end of January and leaves a record of both strong leadership at Desert Schools and incredible stewardship in the community.
“Moving into this new chapter is a great honor for me and I thank Susan for a truly amazing experience at Desert Schools. She has set our organization, members and community up for success and I intend to build on the solid foundation we have built together,” said Meshey. “In this next year, I intend to focus on the message and mission of shared prosperity. When Desert Schools does well, our member-owners prosper, and as an organization, we have an increased opportunity and obligation to make sure that our community prospers, as well. I am looking forward to leading Desert Schools into an even brighter future.”
During his tenure at Desert Schools, Meshey has contributed greatly to the company’s success. He was instrumental in enhancing the credit union’s branch network and moving the organization’s service area from school employees to a full community charter, in which all residents of the community are welcome to become members.
“The Board of Directors is confident that Jeff will continue to provide exceptional leadership as CEO. He is well prepared for the task of leading Desert Schools and has our full support,” said Dr. Claudette Gronski, Chair of the Desert Schools Board of Directors.
