Mustafa Kamal addresses "Meet the Editors" 




Karachi Editors Club (KEC), a newly formed body of Karachi based professional editors organised its first "Meet the Editors" programme with Syed Mustafa Kamal, Chairman of the newly emerged Pak Sarzameen Party and its top leadership like Raza Haroon and Anis Qaim Khani during the reported week.
Mustfa Kamal has also emerged during the last one year as a national and sincere politician who believes that sectarian and lingual politics is very dangerous and harmful for the country.
Mustafa Kamal said in his address in the 'Meet The Editors' programme that when you start politics in the name of Mohajir will create problems for Urdu speaking. He said PSP will be resolving problems of all stakeholders living in Karachi without any discrimination like Sindhi, Punjabi, Pakhtun, Baloch, or any other language speaking.
Describing the PSP set-up he said PSP is serving all over the country and having its offices all over the world like USA, Canada, UK, Saudi Arabia, Middle East, Australia, Africa etc.
He said PSP Karachi division comprises 40-member committee headed by Ex-MNA Asif Hussain, a Young person Adil Siddiqui is Vice President while another Vice President is Naseer Khan, a Pakhtun belonging to Kati Pahari. PSP have 6 district offices, 32 Town Committees and 206 Union Councils while around 12000 dedicated workers in Karachi. Likewise PSP having above 40 district offices in Sindh while 29 District offices in Punjab, 7 divisions in KPK, and 8 districts in Balochistan. In addition to that PSP Women, Lawyers, Youth and Students Wing are actively working among the masses.
Mustafa said PSP in its 18 days of protest before the Karachi Press Club recently highlighted basic issues of Karachi. He said PSP framed 16 points to resolve the development and peace for Karachi. He appealed to the masses to must come out on 14th May for million March call of PSP to support 16 points of PSP.
Kamal said basic problem of Pakistan is the corrupt system in which one Prime Minister and four Chief Ministers and some federal ministers grabbed all power and committing corruption freely and making money. The power should be transferred at distinct level at least to resolve all issues of the masses, he added.
Mustafa Kamal in his two-hour address covered all national issues including health, education, transport and water supply. He also replied all questions raised by senior journalists on this occasion. At the end he was presented bouquets and two books written by Manzar Naqvi, "The Land of Ataturk" and "Wonderful China" by the management committee of the KEC.

Abdul Aziz Bhakrani passes away



Aziz Bhakrani renowned, famous & thorough gentleman, sReal Estate Agent and Builder of Defence and Clifton Karachi passed away after a long illness during the reported week. He left behind a widow, three daughters and son Usman Bhakrani (Shehryar) to mourn in addition to a large family and friends. Shehryar complained that Ziauddin Hospital Clifton mishandled the treatment case of his father and later he was shifted to South City Hospital Clifton, where he recovered and was shifted back to home. He, however, did not survive and his soul met his Creator.
Funeral ceremony of Aziz Bhakrani (Late) was largely attended by Government officials, journalists, family friends and all groups of Real Estate agents and builders including his rivals acknowledging that Aziz  was really the  kind, caring, loving and sincere for everyone. He made various Real Estate Agents for the welfare purposes including his brother and his son. No doubt Aziz was Har Dil Aziz in his all circles.

Murtaza Mughal  organises Seminar on Allama Iqbal and Quran


Dr Murtaza Mughal, renowned economist, journalist and philanthropist who was on his regular monthly visit of Karachi during the week arranged a wonderful evening by organising a Seminar jointly by World Columnist Club and Tanzeem-e-Mughalia Sindh (TMS) on the topic of "Allama Iqbal & Quran" which was presided over by Mirza Ikhtiar Baig while Maj. Abdul Sami Ex-Director DHA, Adviser IDS was the chief guest on the occasion. Keynote speakers of the Seminar were: Dr. Murtaza Mughal, Aziz Ehsan (M.Phil, Iqbaliat), Saeed Khawar & Prof. Saleem Mughal, a renowned Scholar.
Naeem Qureshi, Sonya Sajjad, Captain (Retd) Naim ur Rehman Amir and Afzal Bela attended the seminar as special guests while Mubasher Mir, Editor Daily Pakistan Karachi conducted the whole ceremony in a beautiful manner. Khalid Mughal, Chairman TMS, Muneer Mirza & Hazrat Khan Mughal were among the hosts of this prestigious ceremony which was followed by a lavish dinner in the beautiful environment of Karachi Boating Club.

Thalassemia Awareness Sessions at EFU Life House



AMTF and EFU Life arranged a session on Thalassemia Awareness during the week in connection with 8th May which was marked an International Thalssemia Day. On this occasion Ateeq Ur Rehman ED, AMTF in his address said that approximately 4 per cent of the eligible population donates blood, 75 per cent of donors donate only once a year which is a good sign. A person can donate blood every 90 days. Body recovers the blood very quickly. He appealed to joins hands with AMTF and keep on donating blood for saving many lives of deprived thalassemia children.
Seminar was also addressed by Ms. Aman Hussain (Head of Marketing & Product Management, EFU Life), Dr. Neelum Arshad (Head of Laboratory & Blood Bank, AMTF), and Mazhar Qasim (Corporate Coordinator, AMTF).
