ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's son Hussain Nawaz appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for the second time in connection with Panama Papers case investigation.
Accompanied by senior lawyers and party leaders, the prime minister's son reached Judicial Academy to appear before the team that is probing alleged offshore wealth of the Sharif family.
Incumbent chief operating officer of the National Bank of Pakistan, Saeed Ahmed, also appeared and recorded his statement before the JIT.
The elder son of the prime minister left the Judicial Academy, office of the JIT, after spending five hours. "JIT made me wait for two and a half hours. We have respect for country's law, and I will appear before the JIT if summoned again," he told media.   
"I submitted documents that I was asked to provide, and answered all the questions despite being on fast". Geo News reported that e he might be summoned on Wednesday by the Joint Investigation Team.
Large number of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz activists were present outside the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA).
Special bench of the Supreme Court on Monday dismissed Hussain Nawaz reservations on two members of the team and directed it to continue its work.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, heard the application of Hussain Nawaz, who had expressed reservations about the two JIT members.
When asked about the documentary evidences sought by the JIT, Dr Asif Kirmani PM's close aide, said they have brought the records to be presented before the JIT.
Nearly two hours after he reached the Judicial Academy, an ambulance was dispatched to the academy.
Sources said Hussain Nawaz's sugar level dropped, as he was being quizzed by investigators. There was no further report on his health. 
However, it was later clarified that an ambulance was called outside the Judicial Academy for the President of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Syed Ahmed.
The lawyer of premier's son initially came with him in the interrogation room, but was sent back by the JIT members. According to sources, Hussain Nawaz answered all the questions without the presence of his lawyer. JIT told his lawyer that they would ask for him if needed.
Family sources were quoted saying Hussain Nawaz is absolutely fine, adding that he fully defended his discourse in the interrogation. The statements of NBP President were also recorded. It was told the health condition of Syed Ahmed deteriorated due to which an ambulance was called.
The JIT had earlier stated that he was requested to reappear to meet the prerequisites of what provision of justice entails in the issue. Premier's son was ordered to submit record and record his statements during his appearance before the JIT today. It should be noted that the objections on two of the JIT members raised by premier s son were turned down by the apex court.
Earlier in the day, mismanagement was witnessed as soon as Hussain Nawaz arrived at the location. A security guard misbehaved with the cameraman of private TV channel. A large number of workers and PML-N leaders stayed outside the Judicial Academy for support. 
Hussain Nawaz, son of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asserted on Tuesday that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) would not be able to prove anything against him or his father in Panama Leaks probe.
After spending around 05:30 hours in Federal Judicial Academy, Nawaz left the facility after recording his statement to the investigation team.
While talking to the media before leaving the JIT headquarters, Nawaz warned to move court against any official of the investigation team who resorts to unlawful attitude. He further said that he would reappear before the JIT whenever he is asked to.
Nawaz said that he answered all the questions raised by the probe team.
Reportedly, legal counsel of premier's son was not allowed to accompany him during the interrogation. President of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Saeed Ahmed also recorded his statement to the JIT.
Some reports had earlier claimed that Nawaz's health deteriorated during the interrogation however, it was cleared later that an ambulance was called for NBP chief and not Nawaz.
Reportedly, Saeed Ahmad is not serious as he needed help over a minor issue. - NNI
